Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful

We have a loving heavenly Father who has shown us such mercy! He forgives our past failures, indwells us in the present, and has prepared a perfect future for us. He heals the broken, strengthens the weak, befriends the lonely, remembers the forgotten, restores the fallen, and comforts the grieving. A God of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in love.

And those of us who know this God of mercy are called to be like him. We want to be like him! We show his mercy to others. At Endcliffe we try to do this in a few ways.

Directory of Mercy Ministries

We have produced a Directory of Mercy Ministries listing some of the formal ministries in which members of our church family are already involved in showing God’s mercy to our city. It’s available on our welcome desk at our Sunday Services.

CAP Life Skills Course

We are supported by Christians Against Poverty in running their “life skills” courses. The course teaches practical money saving techniques, and is set in a relaxed environment with a mixture of practical activities and informal discussion, with a free meal at the start. For more information about the course see the page here.

Food Bank

We support the work of the Jubilee Food Bank, taking collections on the first of the month. To see the sort of things to buy you can check the shopping list, or for more information about the Jubilee Food Bank visit their site.
